Dimitrios is pursuing a PhD degree in the Centre for Digital Music (C4DM) in the Electrical Engineering department of Queen Mary university of London. Before that, he studied physics at the National University of Athens, Greece, and he specialised, among others, on signal processing and acoustics. He received a Master’s degree in Music Signal Processing in 2010 from Queen Mary University of London.

The broad theme of his research is machine listening and more specifically, he is interested in auditory scene analysis, music transcription and blind source separation using a variety of signal processing and machine learning techniques for audio analysis.
