IEEE QMUL Student Branch 2015/2016 recap

Valentines Circuit building – We have had many fun events from Christmas circuit building to valentine’s day circuit building which are open to everyone from all degree background to explore the to the world of engineering, work with circuits, engineering equipment and experience being an engineer for the day as well as getting to have fun in a competing way with friends and other people taking part in the event.

Research Showcase – A welcome event where many EECS researchers showcase their PhD projects and other research activities. IEEE SB QMUL and WiE sponsored the prize for best poster award. We talked in length and breath about IEEE activities and encouraged memberships.

Laser cutting and 3D printing workshop – An introduction to creating engineering skills for beginners. The participants were acquainted with nitty-gritties of laser cutting and 3D printing. A live demo was given on how to use the tools.
