LaTeX Tutorial, 25th April

The QMUL IEEE Student Branch in collaboration with The Learning Institute is organising its annual LaTeX tutorial on Wednesday 25th April, 3-5pm. The tutorial will take place at Francis Bancroft building, room 3.44. Booking is available to Queen Mary students through the Learning Institute website (course code: R242). For any questions regarding the tutorial, please send an email to sb.qmul@ieee.org.

Tutorial description:

LaTeX is a high quality typesetting system. It includes features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation. LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents. During this tutorial we will explain how LaTeX works, show how to use some reference free software to edit LaTeX and will work together on some LaTeX examples. Although it is primarily intended for Science and Engineering postgraduate students for which mastering LaTeX is often a compulsory skill, postgraduate students from other schools and departments who need to produce nice-looking documents and are tired of Word or other ”What You See Is What You Get” editors are more than welcome and should find this tutorial useful.
