We are delighted to inform you that we now have an IEEE Signal Processing Society Student Chapter at QMUL after the approval of a petition made by students who are members of the Signal Processing Society.

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) is an international organization whose purpose is to advance and disseminate state-of-the-art scientific information and resources, educate the signal processing community, and provide a venue for people to interact and exchange ideas. The QMUL SPS Chapter aims to link together students and researchers at Queen Mary working in the field of signal processing, through seminars, tutorials, and workshops.

The current chapter chair is Dimitrios Giannoulis and the chapter advisor is Prof. Mark Plumbley. The webpage for the SPS Chapter is: http://ieeesb.elec.qmul.ac.uk/sps/

Further news and reports of any activity of the chapter will follow in the future. If you are an IEEE SPS member and are interested in volunteering or have any ideas for a future signal processing-related event, please get in touch by sending an email to sb.qmul@ieee.org.
